Jenean and I met our new guests today at the TGV station in Avignon, France. We were totally impressed with this new and beautiful station. Our guests arrived exactly on time at 12:57 from Paris. Comments we heard were “that was a better trip than our plane ride over the Atlantic,” and “why can’t America have a train system like this?” I don’t know. Ask Henry Ford and the guys who started Standard Oil. Anyway, we’re spending five nights in Provence, using Les-Baux-de-Provence as our base. From here, we stay a night in a chateau in the countryside near Grenoble, then three nights in the heart of the Black Forest at Hinterzarten, followed by three nights in a lakeside hotel near Lucerne, Switzerland. Stay tuned and follow along for stories of our adventures along the way.
