It had been about 30 years exactly since I had last been to Heidelberg. To me, it seemed as though nothing had changed, except maybe it was more over-run with tourists !
The streets are clean and there are lots of lovely little shops everywhere and fantastic restaurants. Heidelberg makes an excellent place to regain your footing after an overnight flight from the US. The Haukteufel was superb, with delicious food and comfortable rooms.
