This tour begins with us meeting our guests in Shannon on the west coast of Ireland. We spend the first two nights on a working sheep farm near Cashel, County Tipperary where you sleep surrounded by more than a thousand sheep. Enjoy the peat fire in the comfortable guest lounge. “This is the real Ireland” We show you historic Cobh, where the RMS Titanic made its final port of call and where thousands of Irish emigrants said good-bye to their native land and families forever. Relax with four nights in beautiful Kenmare, County Kerry in one of the oldest stone houses in the area, lovingly restored into an upscale bed and breakfast.

We show you the majesty of the Beara Peninsula; some of our guests think it is even more enchanting than the more famous Ring of Kerry, which we also visit. Next, we spend three nights in musical Dingle, Europe’s westernmost town that is filled with pubs where the local musicians play for pints. The inn we use as our home base features the best breakfast in Ireland (according to numerous experts and also, our family of clients) This part of Ireland also has an abundance of ancient monuments. Plus, for the active traveler, there are wonderful hiking opportunities. A final night in Bunratty near the famous castle by the same name and an educational Folk Park and Museum wraps up this 10 day adventure on the Emerald Isle.
